Concerned About Under-Eye Fine Lines or Upper Eyelid Laxity? Density Eye RF Lifting

Face lifted but eyes still look tired? Learn how Density Eye uses a dedicated E-TIP to precisely target fine lines and loose skin around the eyes, and how it differs from Botox and eye cream.

“I had a face lift treatment, so why do my eyes look the same?”

We hear this surprisingly often during consultations.

Photographs of an actual patient used with consent.

Your cheeks and jawline feel firmer, but when you smile or see yourself in photos, the crepey lines around your eyes and the thin, fragile-looking skin under them are still there.

That’s actually not unusual.

The eye area simply needs a different approach from the rest of the face.

The skin around the eyes is thinner than anywhere else on the face, and it moves constantly as you blink and make expressions throughout the day. So when it starts to lose elasticity, the changes tend to show up sooner.

If you’ve started to notice any of the following:

  • Fine lines under your eyes even when you’re not smiling
  • Foundation settling into the creases around your eyes
  • Upper eyelids that feel a little heavier than they used to

it may be more than just dryness. It can be a sign that the skin around your eyes is losing its elasticity.

At Lamine Clinic, we use only genuine Density tips.

One of the biggest differences between Density Eye and a standard Density face treatment is the size of the tip.

Density CLASSIC-E TIP CLASSIC-E TIP
Surface area: 0.5 cm × 0.5 cm = 0.25 cm²
Density CLASSIC-F TIP CLASSIC-F TIP
Surface area: 2 cm × 2 cm = 4 cm²
Density CLASSIC-B TIP CLASSIC-B TIP
Surface area: 5 cm × 3.2 cm = 16 cm²

Along with the tips used for the full face,

Density offers a separate E-TIP designed specifically for narrow, delicate areas like the eyes.

With a small treatment area of just 0.25 cm², the E-TIP allows for more precise treatment of areas that are hard to reach in detail with a regular face tip, such as under the eyes and the outer corners.

  • HIGH-E TIP : Combines monopolar and bipolar RF
  • CLASSIC-E TIP : Uses monopolar RF

Precise Tips for More Detailed Treatment

Not all eye areas are the same.

Some people are most bothered by fine lines under the eyes, while others are concerned about thin skin creasing around the outer corners.

Treatment is performed directly by Dr.Kim

That’s why Density Eye isn’t about applying the same settings used on the full face.

The core of the treatment is selecting the right tip and energy level for each area and skin condition, and treating it with precision.

“Can’t I just get Botox for eye wrinkles?”

It’s one of the questions we’re asked most often.

Botox and Density Eye address slightly different problems.

If your wrinkles appear when you make expressions, like the lines that fan out from the corners of your eyes when you smile, they’re caused by muscle movement, and Botox can be a great option.

On the other hand, if the skin under your eyes looks crepey even at rest, or your eyelid skin feels thin and lax, simply relaxing the muscles may not be enough. Improving the skin’s own elasticity may also be needed.

It requires a delicate and precise approach.

Density Eye delivers RF energy to heat the skin tissue, stimulating collagen contraction and remodeling to help improve firmness and fine lines around the eyes.

In practice, depending on what’s causing your eye wrinkles, we may use Density Eye and eye Botox separately or combine the two.

Using Eye Cream Diligently, But Seeing No Change?

This isn’t to say eye cream is unnecessary.

Proper hydration alone can visibly soften fine lines that stand out because of dryness.

But once the skin has already lost elasticity, when your eyelids feel thinner and less firm than before, or you notice creases even at rest, skincare products have limits when it comes to changing the skin’s structure.

At this point, the question shifts from

“What else should I apply?”

 to

“How can I restore elasticity to the skin around my eyes?”

Stronger Isn’t Better for the Eye Area

In fact, it’s the opposite.

Because the skin around the eyes is so thin, careful treatment planning matters even more here than on other parts of the face.

The tip, energy level, and number of shots may vary depending on where your wrinkles bother you most, how thin your skin is, and whether there’s also hollowing.

In particular, if under-eye hollowness is the main concern, skin-tightening treatment alone may not deliver the change you’re hoping for.

That’s why at LAMINE Clinic, we don’t simply decide “there are wrinkles around the eyes, so let’s do Density Eye.”

We first determine whether the issue is wrinkles, loss of elasticity, or volume loss, and then plan the treatment your eye area needs most.

If Your Eyes Were the One Thing a Face Lift Didn’t Fix

If a full-face lifting treatment left your eye area looking a little behind, or you’ve started noticing fine lines and laxity that eye cream can’t fix, it may be time to look at your eyes on their own, rather than the face as a whole.

Density Eye isn’t just a full-face Density treatment with fewer shots applied around the eyes. It’s an RF lifting treatment that uses the dedicated E-TIP to treat the narrow, delicate eye area with greater precision.

The smaller the area, the greater the precision it needs.
In eye-area lifting, what matters isn’t how strong the treatment is, but where and how the energy is delivered.
