There are many different ways to regenerating your skin collagen. In this post, we will explain one method that may seem quite unusual but excellent in healing your skin. Introducing PRP booster! (Warning: Not for the weak)

What is PRP Booster?

Most may not have heard about the PRP booster but this is a very powerful booster used for regenerative purposes. Also known as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Booster, this booster helps to rejuvenate your skin using your own platelet rich plasma!
PRP is a revolutionary medical injection that is not only used in dermatology but in other medical fields. When PRP is injected into the problem area, it triggers a natural cell regeneration and renewal process. During this process, the area begins to produce hyaluronic acid and collagen in volume, ultimately restoring the skin volume back to before it was lost!
Additionally, as we are using our own PRP, it helps to normalize blood circulation and metabolism, thereby relieving redness and inflammation on the skin.
As we age, our skin visibly deteriorates due to the breakdown of skin cells. This is caused by our metabolism slowing down and waste from within the skin being unable to fully excrete, unable to retain enough moisture, and unable to deliver enough oxygen supply well-round our body. Building metabolism is therefore one of the most crucial tasks to do as we age.
Some of the more simple habits we can pick up include exercising more often, taking daily supplements, getting a good night’s rest, consuming rightful amounts of calories, and reducing stress levels.
These habits may take some time to pick up but the results go life long! In the meantime, appearance of age and drop in metabolism are visible on the skin, so it is up to skin treatments such as the PRP booster to lighten the effects!
How is PRP extracted?

Platelet rich plasma is in fact found in our own blood! Therefore, in order to extract PRP, it must be done by drawing blood.
🚨 A quick warning! If you are uncomfortable with needle injections or drawing blood, PRP booster may not be the most suitable treatment. Ask Dr. Kim about other alternatives to PRP Booster and she will be happy to answer!
After drawing a blood sample, we centrifuge the sample so the platelets become separated from the blood layer. This layerㅡalso known as the ‘buffy coat’ㅡis where the PRP is. There is only as much as 1cc from one blood sample, so this is a precious anti aging agent!
Will there be any side effects? Rejections?
As we are using your own blood sample, there are no rejections or side effects that may accompany. Whereas in the case of other treatments that use chemical substances, since this is compromised of your own platelets, there are no side effects.
Additionally, as the PRP booster helps to reactive and regenerate from skin cell level, you will be able to experience one of the most natural types of anti aging, accompanied with other various effects such as skin brightening, whitening of melasma spots, inflammation, etc.
Just look at the natural glow of the skin post treatment!
