What Causes Wrinkles?

To be frank, fine lines and wrinkles under or around the eye is an inevitable symptom of the aging process. As we age, the skin around our eyes starts to lose its elasticity and become thinner, with the collagen in the dermis layer becoming more and more depleted. Along with the natural aging process, frequent exposure to the sun, smoking, facial (muscle) movements, and genetic traits may also speed up the wrinkle formation process.

The primary cause of wrinkles is the lack of collagen. Collagen is the most important and fundamental protein in our body that act as primary building blocks for our facial structure and is responsible for keeping our faces with a youthful, healthy glow. Therefore, if collagen diminishes overtime, our faces become saggy, with heavy wrinkles and deep lines.

So…What Can I Do About It?

Rejuran is a popular skin treatment in South Korea using a substance known as PN (polynucleotide) that is extracted from the DNA of salmon.

Why salmon?

What Are the Different Types of Rejuran?

👉🏻 Original Rejuran (Rejuran Healer)

Rejuran Healer contains a high amount of PN that is perfect for wrinkles and fine line concerns. As this is typically used for the full face, the amount and viscosity of PN is a lot higher. Typically, around 2cc of Rejuran Healer is injected into the skin. Rejuran Healer also has a downtime of 1-2 weeks, with some embossing marks after the treatment.

👉🏻 Rejuran I (Eye)

Rejuran I also contains a high amount of PN, but the viscosity has been regulated to match the thickness of the dermis layer around our eyes. As the skin around the eye area is typically a lot thinner than the rest of our face, Rejuran I is a lot more fluid and made to be easily absorbed. Rejuran I also has some embossing marks after the treatment but there the downtime is relatively shorter than Rejuran Healer.

👉🏻 Rejuran HB+

Rejuran HB+ has hyalunic acid and lidocaine added to Rejuran Original to increase the moisturizing effect and lessen the pain during treatment. This is perfect for those who have a weak pain tolerance and is looking for a more moisturizing skin booster.
